Job Summary:
The Front Desk Officer is the first point of contact for patients and visitors at Jhelum Doctors Hospital. This role requires a highly organized, customer-focused individual to manage reception duties, including greeting patients, handling inquiries, managing appointments, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the hospital’s front office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and visitors warmly upon arrival.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Answer and manage incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
  • Manage the hospital’s official number, responding to general inquiries.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using the hospital’s management software.
  • Maintain an updated calendar of doctor availability and hospital events.
  • Assist patients with the registration process, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and accurately entered into the system.
  • Verify patient insurance details and inform them of any co-payments or fees required.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and comply with regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Intermediate or equivalent. A Bachelor’s degree holder will be preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Working Conditions:

  • This role requires extensive interaction with patients, their attendants and hospital staff.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the hospital’s operational needs.
